#SOSVENEZUELA: GOVERNMENT OPPRESSION & ABUSE

Dear Journalists,
Please know that this morning CNNEE Journalist @PatriciaJaniot was kicked out of Venezuela for reporting government oppression and all abuses.
My fellow blogger Alek Boyd (@alekboyd) sent this e-mail today:
The last few days the chavista regime in Venezuela censored the Colombian news channel NTN24. CNN reporter Karl Penhaul and his crew were assaulted by police in Caracas for, basically, doing their job. Caracas Press Club and Instituto Sociedad y Prensa have reported various attacks on journalists in the last few days. Images and videos of the brutality unleashed on protesters uploaded to Twitter have reportedly been censored. Yesterday, President Maduro threatened to kick CNN out of the country.
While the above will almost certainly be justified by the regime for flaming the fire, I would like to remind Venezuela observers that my own blog (infodio.com) which deals almost exclusively with corruption and it's written mainly in English, has been censored since 16 Jan 2014. And there's no point in even bringing up the case of RCTV, take over of dozens radio stations, how Globovision was choked with tax investigations and other measures until a group of Boligarchs bought it, how the regime has starved critical newspapers of foreign currency so that paper can't be imported, or the little known acquisition of Venezuela's largest newspaper conglomerate (Cadena Capriles) by proxies of chavista governor Tareck el Aissami.
I heard at a CSIS event the other day from a bearded Chilean gentleman that since a few critical opeds are still printed in El Universal that proves that there's still freedom of the press in Venezuela. While the opinion, totally discredited, of communist nostalgics is heard in free societies, Venezuelans are seeing a creeping curtain of censorship from a regime desperate to hide the brutal repression meted out to protesters and innocent civilians. Tachira state, in the border with Colombia and where protests started due to a rape attempt on a student, has no internet access. Russian Sukhoi fighter jets and two battalions have been deployed to further repression.
Events in Venezuela are happening at a speed that makes impossible for traditional media to keep tabs. Protests are not taking place only in Caracas, the entire country is up against chavismo. Opposition leaders have called for a demonstration tomorrow, which is likely to turn into hundreds of thousands of people across the country taking to the streets to support students protests and to decry the deaths, injured, torture and the horrible economic situation.
The best way of keeping abreast with what's happening is through Twitter. You can follow me @alekboyd and other bloggers and colleagues to get the latest. In this dire hour what we need and expect from democrats around the world is solidarity, and help to overcome censorship by retweeting news coming out of our country.

#SOSVENEZUELA: GENOCICE

UPDATE:
SOS SOS SOS TO THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY
http://maruangaritablog2.blogspot.com/

Dear Journalists,
While most world news are reporting the violent protests in Kiev, Ukraine, a horrible situation of genocide is taking place in Venezuela. Police, National Guard, and paramilitaries "Tupamaros" are violently attacking “unarmed” protesters with no compassion and with alleged orders to kill.
The evening of February of 19, 2014 the following amateur video circulated on Twitter (m.youtube.com/watch?v=1b-L0J_SElM&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D1b-L0J_SElM) The government forces mentioned above attacked students. There are reported several badly injured, and some dead. Pathetic government illegal officials are sarcastic, and alleged pathologically lying on the events. Venezuelan citizens were repressed in the past under the Hugo Chavez’s administration and the government won. Infamous illegitimate Maduro is bringing more vicious gendarmes from Cuba to further repress. THIS TIME, Venezuelans need help to stop the ongoing abuse.
Venezuela needs the UN Peacekeepers Blue Helmets. Maduro and thugs have caused too much damage to the abused nation!
Please follow the reports about Leopoldo López on www.ntn24.com, www.lapatilla.com, www.universal.com, www.el-nacional.com, www.infodio.com, etc.

#SOSVENEZUELA: Leopoldo López

Dear Journalists,
It is honorable the fact that opposition leader Leopoldo López had the integrity to turn himself in to the infamous government officials. However, the concern is that those officials do not have integrity, nor care about law, and have shown to manipulate the law in their favor. That is, questions about the date of Hugo Chavez’s death, Nicolas Maduro taking over the presidency by alleged fraud, and the events that we all have seen with the treatment of protesters.
International organizations and leaders including President Juan Manuel Santos have not done anything to assist Venezuelans restore democracy. President Santos said today that he will have dialogue with the officials. It was about time! Thank you!
However, Venezuela needs the UN Peacekeepers Blue Helmets. Maduro and thugs have caused too much damage to the abused nation!
I find it ludicrous the fact that illegitimate Nicolas Maduro always talks by a huge picture of Libertator Simón Bolivar who was direct ancestor of Leopoldo López, and whose teachings are completely opposite of uneducated Maduro.
Please follow the reports about Leopoldo López on www.ntn24.com, www.lapatilla.com, www.universal.com, www.el-nacional.com, www.infodio.com, etc.

Dear Journalists,
The international community must protect @leopoldolopez who courageously on February 18, 2014  alone will deliver letter to the infamous government officials.
The picture below of National Guard Herrera Ruso is widely circulating the Internet as the alleged mastermind of ordering to rape unarmed protesters including using guns, and other crimes. Some of the poster content was removed, and replaced by a picture since it contains profanities, and hatred.

The following video is also circulating:

There are many videos, but cannot be published because of  profanities and acts of rape shown unedited.
SOS SOS SOS PLEASE SEND THE UNITED NATIONS BLUE HELMETS TO INTERVENE IN VENEZUELA.

#SOSVENEZUELA: Please send UN Blue Helmets

Dear Journalists,
The situation in Venezuela is repressive and abusive against unarmed civilians. Infamous illegitimate Nicolas Maduro yesterday reportedly brought at least 200 Cubans to assist in repressing civilians.
For fifteen years Venezuelans were hostages of infamous Hugo Chavez, and many were massacred in order to cause panic among peaceful protesting civilians. The Venezuelan press, and many bloggers advocates reached out to the international community and world leaders, but no one helped out! Venezuelans cannot defend themselves against sociopath police and National Guard offices who are abusing civilians.
I urge all world leaders to please have compassion and help out Venezuelans against the pathetic abusers, and please send the UN Blue Helmets to stop the abuse. Venezuela would be today so much better if the international community had acted during the disgusting Hugo Chavez’s administration. The nation cannot longer tolerate further abuse where violence is rampant, and officials are inept, or corrupted, living a life style of moral turpitude.
