FARCzuela

Updated:

Dear Journalists,

The last several days the Venezuelan press has published reports of Hugo Chavez’s alleged direct involvement with FARC. Some websites go as far as naming Chavez’s officials allegedly as members of the terrorist group. While Chavez is traveling in Russia confirming the construction of a nuclear plant in Venezuela, and visiting a long list of nations two Venezuelan witnesses are scheduled to declare at the International Court of Justice: retired General Nelson González González and Ambassador Diego Arria as reported in the articles below:

Court proceedings overseas hover over the Venezuelan government

Sadly, Chavez may not worry about the pending trials at the ICC since the honorable court has a reputation of not being able to prosecute criminals, and unable to capture prosecuted infamous dictators. World leaders need to help out enforcing the ICC for justice to be served.

Hmmm, I wonder if Chavez’s is actually building a FARC nation.

Ambassador Adolfo Taylhardat wrote in his opinion column about the current extradition proceedings taking place in Spain against an alleged ETA member in Venezuela.

El tratado de extradición con España

Venezuelans need the aid from the International Court of Justice, and world leaders, to resolve abuse of power in Venezuela and restore democracy.

Cordially,
