Quotable
"Beyond my personal opinion, no country has addressed this issue (expirations of TV licenses) at the OAS Council, and as far as no country has raised this affair at the OAS or the Iberoamerican General Secretariat (SEGIB) or anywhere else, the international bodies are unlikely to do anything."
José Miguel Insulza, OAS Secretary-General of the Organization of American States

How can international organizations help? Isn't against the law to pressure judges?

Venezuela's Political Disaster - May 19, 2007

Dear Journalists,

Venezuelans are marching today protesting Chavez's illegal whim of closing down Radio Caracas Television (RCTV) network. Time is running out to avoid the closure. "José Miguel Insulza, Secretary-General of the Organization of American States, said it is up to the Venezuelan courts to solve a dispute over the renewal of a broadcast license for TV channel RCTV."

Mr. Insulza should know that most of the Venezuelan judges working for Chavez allegedly are doing so under duress. They must keep quiet and do as the abuser* says fearing reprisals.

Last night Oscar Pérez, Director of Comando Nacional de la Resistencia, and several citizens placing posters in Caracas were attacked by Chavez's thugs. They were placed against the wall and harassed as reported in the attached video link:

http://www.noticias24.com/actualidad/?p=4756

Oscar Pérez delivered last March 100,000 signatures of Venezuelans requesting help from international organizations to the Organization of American States in Washington, DC. Please read my blog postings of

The Human Rights foundation
http://www.humanrightsfoundation.org/ is following up the events concerning RCTV. I invite you to please read my recent blog postings since I have added information related to the announced closing of RCTV.

In the meantime, Chavez is abusing the networks with his deranged messages as reported by Daniel Duquenal in his blog:

I will be updating this blog throughout the day as needed, but will not be e-mailing updates.

Venezuela's Political Disaster - May 14, 2007

Dear Journalists,

Attached below please find link to article "Dead Air in Caracas" written by Journalist Jackson Diehl and published by The Washington Post:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/05/13/AR2007051301124.html

Mr. Diehl clearly explains the current situation in Venezuela with Chavez's goal to shut down Radio Caracas Television (RCTV).

Isn't this act against the law? How can Chavez have total political immunity to disobey the law?

Venezuela's Political Disaster - May 13, 2007

Dear Journalists,

Happy Mother's Day!

"Political retaliation, the government's decision not to renew a broadcast license for Radio Caracas Televisión (RCTV)" is what Chavez is doing to RCTV according to Gustavo Hernández, head of the Communication Research Institute (Ininco), statement in the attached link below.

"RCTV will not be a public channel, but a government channel"
http://english.eluniversal.com/2007/05/11/en_ing_art_rctv-will-not-be-a_11A867365.shtml

It seems that Chavez runs his own game as wacky president of Venezuela disregarding citizens' needs, quality of life, history and a sense of being. While he goes buffooning world wide with pockets full of Venezuelans' cash he behaves like a cheap tyrant who has to keep his words of threats against an honorable corporation as is RCTV.

Chavez is not a man of integrity. He seems to just behave as a domestic abuser wrecking chaos to show his power then cries as indicated in the link below:

http://www.brokenspirits.com/information/the_abuser.asp

I hope that Chavez's mother gets a lot of nouveau rich gifts, and steps down for a minute from cloud nine to see the major disaster that her son has become. Maybe she can talk some sense and make an improvement to Venezuelans' life.
