Updated: Chavez on his own - November 25, 2007

Dear Journalists,

It seems that Chavez has frozen diplomatic relations with Colombia and Spain as reported in the attached link from Globovision and Union Radio:

http://www.globovision.com/news.php?nid=71888

http://www.unionradio.com.ve/Noticias/Noticia.aspx?noticiaid=223531

Chavez may be speaking for himself and not representing the general sentiment of Venezuelans.

Next please find Ambassador Adolfo Taylhardat's opinon on Chavez's bizarre behavior:

While Chavez is taking action against Colombia and Spain, Venezuelans are e-mailing new creations, reactions, and jokes about beloved King Juan Carlos of Spain asking the infamous leader to shut up! The next link is to one of the jokes:

Even though people are making fun of Chavez, the situation in Venezuela is very serious since Chavez seems desperate. Venezuelans need help from international organizations and leaders to help them restore democracy in the abused nation.

Cordially,

Maru Angarita
